Growing up in Essex, Janko has long been fascinated by the juxtaposing grey concrete bleakness against the glittery, diamanté lifestyle.

Dashes of extravagance to give relief from the mundanity of British suburbia. Vibrant neon and velvet casinos on piers of decaying seaside towns. The sparkly dresses, fake eyelashes, bright nails and 6-inch heels that fill the streets on rainy Friday nights. ‘Cheap Glamour’ is heavily inspired by all this, using it as a backdrop for his 80’s inspired Alt R&B stories to unfold.

Wonky drum machines, 808’s & cowbells contrast with lush 80’s synths & big reverbs, glossy vocals and catchy hooks envelope you into Bubba's plastic sheek world. Eloquently diving into modern day topics of celebrity culture, clout chasing, 9-5 work life and partying on a budget.

Cheap Glamorous is the second EP from Bubba Janko - the London based singer-songwriter & producer. Sonically influenced by 80's Soul, Alternative R&B and Underground club music; the project is intricate, expressive, quirky and always very danceable.
